Help with JVC KD-R208

Apparently this head unit has a built in... thing... that automatically adjusts music when it's 'too loud' or outputting too much to the speakers I guess. I have Alpine Type-S speakers all around and nice wiring... I know not the best but still good and the **** thing always turns down... like... WAY down, to the point where I can't even have my windows cracked to really hear it. Is there any way to bypass this feature? It does it all the time, even when it's not very loud and if I try and turn it doesn't work... thanks!
