I'm currently doing my next upgrade and that is to install an Alpine IVA-W505 double din unit in my 2002 nissan altima (with bose system). Everything is wired properly but im having one small issue..
How do i mount this puppy into the car?
I was told that since i have the bose system I could just unscrew the brackets from the bose HU and screw them into the Alpine..
These are the brackets in question taken off of the 2002 altima bose HU:
here are the problems:
1. 3 of the 4 screws on each side of the bose metal brackets can fit into holes on the alpine deck
2. The bose metal brackets do not sit flush against the Alpine deck
3. The unit does not seem to fit in far enough when using the bose metal brackets.
Should I not be using the bose metal backets? Should I look to buy something else instead?
Please help asap and i'd love to get this done tonight or early tomorrow.
PS: if anyone has the crutchfield master sheets for installing a double din radio into an 2002 altima with bose system and can email me them, please do!
