Help with Hu install

I just got a new Premier 490ib, headunit and was wanting to know if i use a wiring harness, will it basically be plug n play? Ive never installed a headunit before, but im pretty confident i can install this. Are there any tips/tricks i should know for the install?

Assuming the wiring in the dash isn't cut up and you have the propper harness, your wiring harness will make the stereo plug-and-play.

My prefered way to connect the wiring harness to the HU is to solder and heatshrink. After that the next best way is to use insulated butt connectors (22-18 AWG variety, typically red) and a good crimper. Don't use pliers (I learned the hard way).
