Help with hifonics bxi2608D

in my truck playin my amp and sub for about 15 mins and sub stops playin.....the sub isint blown its somethin with the amp

amp stays lit up with the power light on just doesnt play anything

I have a kicker solox 18 dual 1 ohm

(i did hook up another amp in my truck and it worked fine so nothin is wrong with my wires fuses or ground)

any ideas?

what ohms are you running it at. that amps is 1ohm stable , either you have it running in 2ohms mono are .5 ohms

Is this something new that is happening? Like did it work fine before and this is recent or has it been this way since you setup this combo?

With dual 1 ohm coils, if you are wired in parallel at .5 ohm I would first suspect the amp is going into thermal protect. How hot is the amp to the touch when it stops playing? Really hot? Or just mild, like you can keep your hand on it for 30 seconds or more without saying ouch?

Do you have your gains set properly? Are you using bass boost? What is your voltage dropping to?

this just happened to my friends hifonics 2008D. i'm curious to see why it happened
