Help with enclosure.

Hello All!: Not exactly sure if this is the correct area to post this but here goes. I have a new to me ‘22 Ram Crew Cab. I know there are a few choices out there for underseat enclosures. Problems are: Cost, I do not need a competition JL Loaded enclosure for the tune of $2-3k. On the other hand, most enclosures are 5/8” MDF instead of the size that I am used to using 3/4”. Which if that’s the way it is then I can live with it. Also, most 12” enclosures are sealed instead of ported like I am also used to. I literally listen to a ton of different genres of music. When it’s time to get low, I like to get there. Probably not 30 but enough to enjoy Rap. Also, this would be the first time I’ve ever used shallow mount subs. Is it a night and day difference? Or is it similar? I will be using a Rockford Fosgate amp that is 935 watts RMS to 1 or 2 ohm load. Currently I have a 500 watt RMS 12” in a single ported enclosure that sounds great, but I am having to remove it from the truck then put it back as needed because my wife doesn’t like strong bass (I know, I don’t understand either haha!). So there’s my issues. Thanks in advance for any/ all recommendations. Take care all!

This one is ported and would give you a lot of options. You won't be able to use deep subs, but you won't have to resort to the cost of shallow mount subs.

Local gentleman that I met waiting to get tires showed me his setup and I'm pretty sure he said it's one of these, FOX-Box prefabs. Looks real slick, he dropped a couple DD Audio SL612's into that same box, and it's pretty impressive.

He's got it setup on a PowerUS PW1500. Thing puts out some crazy power, well over rated and more than enough for this setup.

Sounds great tuned at 33hz.
