help with box for 2 15 in l5s

I have a 99 chrysler cirrus that I wanna put my 2 15 in l5s in. I was thinking they would fit if i took off the back of my back seat because my seat can pull down. I were to extend the box into the back seat would i be able to get the right dimensions for a vented box?

Also, Kicker square subs like volume. So an enclosure for 2 15s ported will be rather larger(lager then your average dual 15" enclosure).

its 37.5 width and 17.5 for height and the only thing i dont have measured is the length but if i take the back seat out i should have around 40 in to work with or so.

exactly...you are probably looking close to 9 cubic feet after all displacement is taken into account.

9 cubic feet AFTER displacement is taken into account...so it would probably be close to 11/12 after port/drive/braceing is taken into account

If you build the enclosure in the car.

Not sure losing the back seat would be worth the output you will get though. I would suggest selling them and getting something to fit better with your application.

Good point...The depth of the enclosure could become so great that it will be impossible to get it into the car itself.

So i measured it and here it is: 38-witdth 64-length 17-height. I could possibly get 18 in for height but it would require me cutting off the support for my back seay(which I wont need anyways since I'm taking my back seat off.) Any help on this box would be appreciated. Looking to get a big vented box built for them. And I would be willing to build it in the trunk. Thanks in advance.

I was also thinking though, could I just cut a piece of MDF to fit the back of the back seat and basically wall off my trunk as a box and have them facing forward? Or would that sound like total @#$!?

Are you ditching the back seat? If you are, then why build in the trunk?
