Help with amp

Hey can someone go to this link and see if this amp would be good for a kicker solo x. The kicker solo x is 5000 watts peak, a double voice coil, and its 4 ohms. I was just wondering if this amp would be good for this sub. Heres the link

lol... get a real amp dude, something that will give you at least 2500RMS at 2 ohm.

You should pay attention to rms power not peak. That goes for the sub and amp.

Yeah i had a boss amp once,my first system in like '99 and it popped fuses on any bass note that went for more than 3 seconds haha

I need to find something around 300$ i cant spend that much on an amp. Do you have any suggestions on what to get?

If you're going for 2500wrms @ 2 ohms for $300 you need to be looking in the classifieds. I wouldn't buy anything with Boss on the box.

well man that price with the watts you need its hard look for used. I have some fusion power plant 2000 mono BNIB for close to that. I have lots of amps

What are some classy brands? I know nothing about amps so I need all the help and information I can get.

Hifonics is gonna get you close but the 2 ohm thing is gonna kill you for the $300. 1 ohm wouldn't be so bad, but 2 is not as easy.

What does 2 ohm and 1 ohm mean? The sub I have is a double voice coil 4 ohm so wouldnt i have to run it off of a 4 ohm amp?

A dual 4 ohm speaker you can wire it to either 2 ohm or a 8 ohm load. The 2 ohm load you have to wire to 2 voice coils in parallel to the amplifier terminals, and for a 8 ohm load you need to wire the 2 voice coils in series to the amplifier. Ohm is the measurement for electrical impedance or electrical resistance.
