ive had this system wired up for the last 2 years, and have had this amp wired up for last 2 months with no problems. the other day i re-ran some wires and cleaned things up a bit and now the amp runs in protection mode and then clicks on and off etc etc. ive checked all my grounds etc and they are all good? all the wiring is the same as it has been since i baught the truck and first installed everything?? im lost?

here is a video of what it does.

Thats what mine was doing today with no subs hooked up,so i turned the bass boost all the way off and adjusted the settings and it fried after 2 mins.It smelled like wonderful power supply, that might be your problem but im not sure.Mine would do it as soon as i TOUCHED the LPF.

make sure your main fuse going to the amp is good.....youmay have blown it, and the amp is trying to come on using the remote wire...

ive seen it happen before....glass fuse was blown but you couldnt see where the fuse blew by looking at it....the amp would come on for a second , try to play , then just cut off and on. over and over again...changed the fuse and the amp worked great...

That makes sense. I have not messed with too many of kicker's amps. Some of them just control the base of a NPN that controls the base of a PNP which supplies B+ voltage to the SMPS controller and etc.

Sounds like a couple of things.
Could be DC bias detection. Are your speakers/subs moving out/in and when it turns off it moves back to center?
i didnt look at the speakers to see if they were moving, but i will.

i checked the amp fuses and the fuse under the hood, just gotta check the fuse that goes to my dry cell, maybe i blew it somehow.

its wierd cause it was working fine before the other day. all i did was remove my 2nd amp wires and hook it back up. must of did something.

problem solved....check the fuse between the truck battery and the shuriken dry cell and it was blown, replaced and good as new....

thanks
