Help Wiring New Amplifier

Its not that i couldnt get a monoblock just the fact that i couldnt wire it at 1 ohm without a dual battery set up which i dont want.
whoever told you that you cant wire an amp to 1 ohm without a dual battery is a jackass.

I suggest wiring the subs @ 2 ohm stereo on half the amp and use the other half to power the front speakers.

In the manual on page four it says "A MONO signal source is required to bridge channel pair 3/4. Im not sure if this is correct for what i am trying to do because it is under the section that explains how to configure it as a 2 or 3 channel system. Could you clear this up and once again is it even possible to do this with alpine swr 12d2s?
Like i said before "you would need two splitters, each single female to 2 male. Use the left side of your sub out for ch1/2, then right for ch3/4, or vice versa." Each channel would be getting a "mono" source. Yes you can do it with those subs. Also, most mono amps are class d, which are more efficient than class ab amps. Not sure why you'd think you need a dual battery set up to run a mono amp, but not a 4 channel class ab amp.

Alright i got it that makes sense. And i only needed the dual battery if i ran it at 1 ohm. (The guy was a car audio specialist but im pretty sure he was just being safe) I agree that i should of got a monoblock amp but i didnt so i need to make this work. Thanks for the help im glad that i didnt waste 250 bucks!

Hmmmmmm someone lied to you... This 2k class ab amp will require a much more beefier electric then a 2k class d amp... This thing is going to **** juice like nobodys business.
