Help wiring my subs to my amp

Ok, So I have two Kicker L7s Dual 4 ohm. I also have a Power Acoustik OV2-2600 (crappy I know). Would it be okay to wire both of the subs to 4 ohm, and bridge them together and put the two positive wires on the first positive channel on the amp, and the two negative wires to the last negative on the amp? Would this damage the subs? Because I played it like this for a few minutes and it's definitley louder I just don't want to hurt the subs. Thanks for your time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that amp is only 4ohm bridged, meaning running anything under 4ohm bridged is not recommended by the manufacturer. Usually running this this way could cause the amp to overheat, blow, flip into thermal etc....

if you want to bridge the amp. wire both subs in parallel and then series or series then parallel. the end ohm load will be 4ohm...

i wouldnt run that amp bridged at 2ohm... or 1ohm (like you are)...

these are you two options of wiring:

First option:

second option:

The first way you are bridging your amp, the second way you are wiring it strait.

The first way you are getting 1080w x1, the second way you are getting 540w x2.

Any other way of wiring you are hurting your subs/amp or not getting max output.

I recommend the second way because bridging your amp makes it hotter than it needs to be which cold result in your amp blowing.
