Help understanding Class D amps

how will a 750.1 put out 1700 watts?

because Kicker underrates their stuff. though i think 1700watts is quite a stretch

for the amp i wasnt planning on spending more than 350.
also for people who run there amp off a car battery not under the hood (ie extra battery in the trunk) what kind of life do u get out of it?

well hes talking about his treo which will run 1500 at 1 ohm. which i wont be able 2 run with 2 subs..

if you're talking about the Treo then that's a different story, Treo name their amps according to power at 2ohms. But they've been known to be stable down to 1ohm and making double the power there. Who said you're an idiot?

my amp is not a kicker for one its a treo engineering and the ssx750.1 is the model not the power output its rated at 1500x1 at 1ohm it has been known to be very underrated and one guy clamped his 750.1 and got 1862 watts @ 1.4 ohms at 13.8 volts. definitely underrated at 1500 at 1 ohm. this amp is also in mint condition 10/10 mechanically and physically

i must have mistaken him as trying to take advantage of me.

i was under the impression that 2 subs could not be wired at a 1 ohm final impedance

well thats the thing they are yet to be bought. so i can go the 2ohm or 4 ohm route.

i think kicker L5s only come in DVC

get the amp i listed for right at $350 and get dual 4 ohm subs, wire to 1 ohm and get around 1500+rms or since that amp is stable and those subs could take it get dual 2 ohm and wire to .5 ohm and get almost 2000rms but be careful on the gain......

can u link a diagram to wire the 4 ohm subs to a 1 ohm final load??

well if you havent bought them yet just get 2 dvc 4ohm subs and wire them in parallel/parallel for 1 ohm load l

where i was looking at wiring diagrams (crutchfield) they didnt have diagrams to wire them at that load.

and with my ignorance i didnt think it was possible

ya crutchfeild doesnt show 1ohm loads but it is possible
