hey whats up. i am tryin to tune my sub. its a 13w7 its ina civic si.. it was a mofo to get in.. i need to face the sub towards the trunk. i have an eclipse deck. i need advice what to set the sub at i have it set at 65hz. thats as low as it goes.. other options are 80hz 100hz 125hz 150hz 200hz.. the problem im having at 65hz is the higher bass notes when they hit like mid bass. the w7 doesnt like the mid bass whatsoever. im just trying to feed it deep bass. any suggestions on what to do? the box is a vented box to jls specs. box is tuned to 33 or 34hz.

my amp is an xtant x1001

eclipse cd5444 deck

jl 13w7

eclipse 6.5s and 6x9s

00 civic si

well what you should do is play with the settings yourself and see what then sounds best. we all have different ears so we can really tell you whats the best crossover frequency for a certain speaker. play it at 65hz,80hz, etc with different slopes. Not that my sub is the same as yours but my IDQ is crossed at 80hz @ 12db/oct. if 65hz is as low as it goes, then you are out of luck if you aren't happy with it. maybe get some other processing, or maybe mess with the EQ on your HU or if your sub amp has one, mess with that.
