My manual cd does not work. So..... Can someone help me set this hu up? It doesn't sound bad at all but I'm just looking to get the best I can out of it. I am running set of cdt 61a components on an ppi275. Rear speakers are just fill ins. I don't have subs installed yet. I have an 04 ext cab silverado. Thanks to everyone.

Lol. Well I've been messing around with everything I can find on it. Lol. I need help just getting the best sound quality I can possibly get with that setup. It doesn't sound bad but when I get it sounding good one day after an hour or so messing with it, the next day it sounds crappy. My ears get numb to the music I believe. Lol. Well I am looking for help from start to end really. From hookup on proper RCA outs to adjusting eq to time alignment which I still don't understand. I'll call you if need be.

I seen a pretty good way to adjust TA by ear last night. I don't have the site because I'm at work, I'll try to remember to get it tonight. But basically, you only adjust two non-similar drivers at a time, and then compare two similar drivers. For example, set only right mid-bass and sub properly, then set left mid-bass and sub, and then compare both mid-bass. They should be correct. I'll try to get you the site, it explains it better than I can. But I have also heard the auto adjustment does well.

Ok. Gonna try to download the manual.

try out the auto eq/ta it works really good.u plug in the mic that came with the deck. and then you turn off the deck and u press and hold the eq? button i dont remember for sure which button it is but check em out and see. then you just let the head unit do the work. ur suppost to have the car in the acc position and in a quiet place. it will bassically set everything up for you. and then you can tweak ur settings to get it jsut the way you like it.

The auto EQ is pretty good but the time alignment feature was way off... It put my sub 40" further away than it actually was. Easy enough to fix though.

I still have yet to get in there with my RTA setup to apply a final EQ curve over the automatic one. I seemed to have lost a second 1/8" to 1/8" cable when I moved.

Ok. Easy guys. Y'all starting to lose me. I did the auto eq and ta earlier. It does sound way better. But it put way too much bass in the front cdt's. The eq is at flat now. So when I adjust it am I just tuning the auto settings or am I starting over from a flat eq? And what should I set the hpf to on the front spkrs? I went and turned the first three frequencies all the way down to minimize the hard bass from the cdt components. Before the auto tuning, I had my hu volume set to max 45 with the amp around 2/3 gain. Now amp is same but I can turn the volume to around 58 before I notice any distortion. But that was so dang loud that it made me feel confused. Lol. Highs were a little too high at that volume but the clarity was still there. Sounds good at normal levels but at high volumes the high over power.

How do u manually set the ta? Do u just take a tape measure and measure the distance? That seems like it would not take the reflection of acoustics in account and make it sound worse. I don't know. Help me out. Thanks for the replies everyone.
