help setting my gain

alright so i just got an audioque 1200d and i need help setting my gain....i have an alpine 9857 hu and it has 2v outputs....my amp gain goes from 0.2 to 8v....all i know what to do is to use a 50hz test tone at 0db and match the 2v of the head unit but i dont know where to hook up the leads of the dmm on the amp or what settings to use

what voltage should i adjust to when wireing to 1ohm...it does not say on there
