HELP rcs's or amp HELP

okay i just bought a hifonics 1600w a month or 2 ago and all of a sudden today engine noise just started to happen. it goes to the rpm's in my car, im saying its pretty loud too. when i take the rca's out of the amp its not there. then i found out when i press them in pretty hard into the rca port or w/e the noise stops. so what do you thinks bad my rca's or amp... thanks

Check your ground on the amp.

Or if you have a pioneer hu it could be that, too I suppose.

Your noise is coming from the HU or the RCAs. Try hooking an iPod to the RCAs (the end that plugs into the HU) to see if it is the HU or the RCAs.

this is a long shot but just because this happened to my buddy recently with close to the same symptoms i will though it out. check the RCA inputs on the amp and see if the feel loose or see if the amps casing feels loose if so your rca's inside the amp may be grounding to the amps chasie.

figured it out.

my rca cables went bad ? lol so i just changed them , now my systems good agains...
