help question about my xl

WTF is this supposed to mean? How much power his amp is putting out doesn't have anything to do with a broken tinsel or bad coil. Obviously if he would've tested the resistance as I pointed out in the first post, this issue would've been solved long ago. 2nd: You say your amps never get warm. BS. There is no way you can use an amp and not have it get warm to the touch, if you actually turn it up or use it more than 20 minutes or so. Let alone "ice cold".
Incorrect bobby a coil can have an intermittent short I have that issue now with 1 of my 18's pretty sure I have it narrowed down but debating on just reconing them all with zv3 spiders.

I will spell it out once again.... "Try measuring the resistance while SLOWLY moving the sub by hand. If it cuts out or changes drastically, you know you have a coil problem." If you move the sub quickly, it will build voltage/change inductance and give false readings. This is how you diagnose the problem without having to disassemble the sub.
