I could've bought a cobra. but i figured id spend my money wisely and not hop on the **** band wagon.

Fast is fast... NO! everyone at my school has either bought their car... or had a shop build it. OR they have a cobra and they think they're cool because they put an exhaust on it WOW... you want a F'n cookie? A true gear head(no matter the car) is someone i respect. They're rare tho. So w/e. In general most Cobra owners dont tear into their Quad Cam POS.

so a 10k dollar firebird, a ls7 motor(10-12k) and from the way you make it sound, probably anohter 15 grand in modifications between engine internals, *****, suspension, rear. thats what 30-35 grand? if i bought a 03-04 cobra for under 25 and sunk 10 grand into it, i gurauntee we would be running similar times.

I respect that your doing the work to your car, but to discredit that fast is fast is just idiotic. You are starting to come off a little too arrogant and losing respect in my book. ive spent more time at the track the past 15-20 yrs then i care to remember, maybe thats why i have an open mind when it comes to performance? Dammit, this thread just reminded me that I need to check back on another forum that I used to frequent a lot. A couple of guys had 240 SX drifters with LS2 swaps. One guy had a 1999 Firebird V6 that he was swapping to a 2JZ-GTE because he wanted to keep it V6 as well as have the pleasure of pissing off both the classic muscle car dudes as well as the import tuners and ricers.

Some people like to go fast have money and don't have time or means to work on their car. I guess you think cuz you can build an engine your like somehow better then these people or love cars more. If you race a guy that bought a 9 sec car off ebay and lose you still lose.

Youre right, i dont know you. You dont know me. All i know is what you've put on here. and maybe ive misrepresented myself here. but ill live.

The last thing you said... about the guy in the 9 sec car.... I dont build my car to race... i build it... well to build it. Thats all i do. when i get this done ill probably go back and finish the MG's.

I spent 5 years restoring a 66 Shelby with my dad. then like 5 rebuild three dune buggies. then the 70 MGB. 61 MG midget (both not done) then i moved to RX7's. then bikes and now to the WS6.

The best part for me is the work. Learned at an early age to work smarter not harder. Found lots of good deals.. Well the ***** am, maybe not, i just really wanted that. lol.
