Alrighty, i purchased a 9800BT a little while ago (brand new), hooked it up in my car today. Turned on and worked fine, i was playing with the backgrounds for a little while and things like that. Well, then i shut off the car, and it beeps and the face comes down. So i pulled the faceplate off and then the little braces where it sits went back up into the unit. I then put the faceplate back on and turned the car back on to mess with it again. This is where my problems began...the unit wouldnt turn on at all. Hit the reset button on the front and you could feel the little motor for the disc drive "vibrate" inside but it would not turn on. When i turned off the car and took the key out, it would beep and then the faceplate would motor down again so you can take it off. Regardless of what combination i use of taking the face off and putting it back on, with and without the car on, it doesnt work still. Even though the unit gets power I checked the battery wire, the acc wire, and ground, all good. It would even accept a disc when the faceplate dropped after you turn the vehicle off, but now i can't eject it or anything else...im stumped, i have tried everything i could think of. Sorry for the long post...(also, the only wires hooked up at the moment are those three, ground, acc, and power) Any help would be appreciated...is there some sort of security thing i enabled?
