Help picking components

I'll try to make this as brief as possible. I'm looking for a set of 6.5" components in the $200 range to go in my 07 Dodge Ram Quad cab. I have a roll of raamat that I will be using to deaden the doors and will be making a mounting ring out of mdf for the mids in the door. I'm thinkin about picking up this: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17194 (alpine pdx 4.150 150 watts x 4) to power the components and the rear speakers (stock for now, will possibly upgrade later. Using the rears because I have a dvd player with 5.1 surround sound that we watch movies on).

As far as the sound I'm looking for....I'm looking for something that has a nice "rich/smooth" sound if that makes any sense. I hate speakers that have ear piercing harsh highs. Good detail is definitely nice, but just not harsh. So far, these are the sets that I'm considering:

Image Dynamics CTX65CS

Diamond Audio S600s

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=11755

CDT Audio EF-61FG/TW25 PRO

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4630

(seems like there's a million different combinations of cdt components on woofersetc. I had a set of cdt's in my expedition that got totaled but i can't remember exactly which ones they were, but i know i liked em)

Alpine SPX-17REF

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=18520

Cadence CVL-6K

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6030

That's my list at the moment. At this point I'm slightly leaning towards the image dynamics set. I don't really have any dealers within a reasonable driving distance to go listen to any of these (mostly just the big box stores around me). So I'm open to any input/suggestions.

The HSK165's are definitely a great option for ~250.

As for the ones you mentioned, I would only use the Image Dynamics, The alpine's are alright, but i really only think the Type X pro's are worth buying from alpine's line. I'm not a huge fan of CDT's, unless its their M6, or Eurosport lines.

I've also heard the Diamonds, and they were decent.

Whoops, didn't realize there was a thread somewhere with people's thoughts on that list of speakers compared to each other. My bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif

Those Image Dynamics set is really nice. Or if you want to save some chedder, I really like my Pioneer Premier 720c set, which is under there PRS line which is also spectacular. If you can find the PRS line for close to 200, you won't be dissappointed at all. Hell I can't see how you would be dissappointed with the 720c's, which can be had for 100 smacks at the right site. They sounded as good if not better than the ID's, which are more money, but the ID's sound good as well. Price difference though, I think I won with the 720c's.

Good luck!

Are there any online dealers for the hertz equipment or any members here that sell em?
lyttleviet also sells the ID CTX's as well as the Hertz HSK's

Also I didnt see it at the beginning (where you are located at) but Im in South Beloit, IL so if you need any help just let me know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
