stick to dealers with good feedback ratings not just becasue they have lots of transactions. ikesound is a bit slow on occasion but they are pretty good. i have a pretty bad *** set of 12" subs that will own the audiobahns you were looking at. i have lots of good refs-no bad here and on ebay. let me know if your interested looking at about 140 shipped to your home. they are swiss audio spl 1290's they have not alot of play time. pics available as well.okay, i'm kind of hesitant about ebay
you set the gains on your amp. There is a tutorial on how to do so in the amplifier section of this board... and about the HU... there are some settings that you should watch (don't overdo the bass) but mainly just keep your volume down if you don't want to blow your subs... It helps avoid distortion... just be sure what you got. I know on my HU that I can turn my volume up full (60/60) without a problem because of the amps/subs combo that I have. But you gotta look out for it.what do you mean by gain and lows, and why would it matter on the hu?
Higher end decks have options like Hipass/lowpass crossovers.. and different options to help you send the right freq's to the right speakers/subs.. so that they aren't playing higher or lower then they shouldokay, but i'm kind of lost for the moment, if it isn't a good deck, and i do hook up the subs/amp to it, why would i have to worry more than i would with the good deck?
