HELP on sub/amp selection.

well I have a $1200 Canadian budget to work with and I am lookin for 2 subs and amplifier/s to run them. I am totally hooked on 10" Type R's and a MRD-M501 mono amp. I am makin my own enclosure and am still stuck on weather i should use ported or sealed (dificulty in makin and tuning the box is not an issue). Any imput on box type and also other products that fall in the same price range would be greately appreciated.
