Help on setting gains...

k i just set my gains my amp since i got a multimeter...i have a monoblock amp...doing a 4 ohm load..on the birthsheet its 614 rms....so it should be set at 49.5 volts....when i tried using a multimeter it didnt give whole numbers...it was "0.145" for example....so i set it to 0.495...i dont know if its right....or if thats how the multimeter is..what do u guys think? thanks

i used the ac voltage setting ..."V" with the squiggle on the top...its right next to the off setting in this pic

In that case, it should be reading larger numbers.

You're measuring at the amp's output terminals using a test tone, correct?

P.S. Sorry for the hijack but I seriously wasn't aware of the fact that the amp is a converter.
