Looking for suggestions for a 10" single Subwoofer in a sealed enclosure for a 2016 chevy 2500HD double cab. Enclosures for this truck are limited.

I found a Subthump 10" single .65cu/ft sealed down fire enclosure with mounting depth of 5.75" to be mounted under rear seat

what I have so far:

Factory HU fed to Audio Control LC7I to PPI P900.4 amp to front 6x9 and rear 6.5 speakers.

220amp altanator

Aux battery in truck which I ran 1/0 power and ground to back seat of truck to terminal strip with 4ga outs

I listen to 80's rock music most of the time, I would like to stay in the $200-300 for each the sub and amp. What I came up with so far is the following

Hifonics monoblock amp

Jl Audio 10TW3 mounting depth 3.25"

Sundown SD3 10 MD 4.48"

IDQ 10 MD 5.75"

Having not heard any of these, im going in blind.Looking for the best option of theses for the enclosure I posted above as well as any other recommendations subs or amps. I am not brand loyal but would like to get the best bang for your buck. I believe the Jl and SD are shallows and the IDQ is full size.

Thanks

from what I found I could fit either the IDQ 10 or the sundown SD3 10. Sub box is sealed .65sq/ft

IDQ 10 Sealed .6 to 1.6 cu/ft optimum .7cu/ft

Sundown SD3 10 .45 to .60cu/ft optimum .5cu/ft

any disadvantage one way or the other??

not if both box and sub have mounting depth of 5.75 you need room behind the motor. I second the sd, beautiful underhung motor design.

2007-15 GM EXT / DOUBLE CAB 2-10" VENTED

also a big foxacoustics fan. great boxes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ported.

Thanks mclerico83, I assumed that subthump would have added a clearance to there top mount measurement.I guess that makes my decision very easy SD3-10 it is.

Just out of curiosity how much clearance is needed would it be the Xmax measurement of a particular sub plus some?

My friend has the sundown Sd 10s in his F150. They're awesome subs. Easily the best choice between the 2.

Im thinking of going to the subthump dual sealed box enclosure with divided .60sq/ft boxes, (2) Sundown SD3-10 @2ohm subs wired to 2ohms. Will the PPI 1000.1 be enough power for the 2 subs or should I be looking at something else. I don't think one 10" will be enough

I ran my truck with the Hu at 3/4 volume with a PPI 900.4 running 2 6x9 and 2 6.5 speakers and I have 15.15VDC at my 1/0 cable distribution block at the back seats where the sub amp will be mounted

Believe it or not, these are some little Baddazzez/subs..I own 2- PPI 1000.1,2-900.4s,and 2-600.2s..All are excellent amps/work great. That PPI 1000.1d will serve well @ a 1ohm load, even @ 2 ohms.Be sure to feed it well/supply it well, and she will shell out some juice. Its a shame you can fit a Dayton HO-10 in that truck. even a pair.Great small sealed enclosured subs, Depth may be an issue. These AB subs do very well..just another option for you,and from my experiencing/not hear say

Audiobaun, he needs shallow subs. That sub looks nice, prob perfomrs great but in OP's situation, may not work

OP I'd go with the sd 10's Sundown. Who's building the enclosure? Gotta account for the wood thickness bracing, etc.

subthump is going to be building the enclosure

why not get d4 sd's and wire them to 1 ohm

then power them with the
