Can anyone ID a possibly manufacturer for these?

Clearly I cant type. (possible manufacturer) LOL

Ok this is not car audio related but maybe someone has seen something very similar to these. These came out of a pair of 2008 Revel B12 (10" drivers) home subwoofers. They were fairly high end at the time. I got the subs broken from a friend for next to nothing. Amps blown but subs are fine.

They are 10" of course as stated above, 3"VC and 2"p-p according to Revel. I weighed them and they weigh about 30lbs each. Dayton woofer tester claims 33.5Hz FS, QTS of .34. VAS I don't remember. DC resistance is 4 ohms. Cone feels like aluminum. Almost looks like the old Dayton Titanic series but with aluminum cones and bigger motors. That's the closest thing I have found.

I wouldn't mind something very similar to these for a second home sub project. I know Revel is part of the Harman group so maybe there is a very similar infinity or something? I didn't find anything. I'm assuming the driver builds are not something Harman is doing inhouse. Probably getting someone to make their stuff.

Anyway any help is welcome.

haha thanks. Well I'm working on a very light weight tube sub that can be clipped in and out (I have a small hatchback and don't want to weigh it down or have usability issues for space as its a daily driver). So that's a separate project that will use Vintage Alphasonik amps from like 1990 LOL.

But I'm more into home audio these days and would like to get something nearly identical. The Dayton seem to have smaller spider and a smaller coil, smaller magnet. Basically smaller everything.

Oh I had no idea they did make their own. Hmm well that makes things a little more interesting.

Could very well be Harman, I remember seeing a similar build on a Harman driver for an old Infinity home sub.
Have plans for them?

Dude you are awesome. Just poked around for "Infinity home subwoofer 10" and found this after a little bit. Identical looking with a different color.

Great thread! I'm going to call Harman / Infinity and see about "spare parts" and see if any more of these in stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Doubt it but who knows!

I want one 10" sealed to fill in the bottom octave of an open baffle loudspeaker project. It doesn't need to slam hard. Just needs to be quick and agile so it can blend with the mains without me knowing there is a sub on. Looking to do a critically damped sub and using DSP to extend the dropping low end. Power will be from an old Ramsa pro audio power amp.

Fun project //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The open baffle by themselves have ruined me for anything else home audio I've heard (midbass and up). Bass is great too but just a little shy. What is there is very clean and fast.

I know what you mean about the open baffle presentation. You can always hear the effects of an enclosure after that.
