Hi. If you can help I would be very grateful. My head unit is a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT I would like to know what configuration would let me get the most out of my amp and sub(s). I don't want to over power or under power. I've had sealed enclosures in the past, but I may go with ported if it's the best thing for my current situation. While I have always liked the sound quality of a sealed enclosure I am worried this time around it may not give me an adequate sound level with my current audio system. I may have to sacrifice some sound quality and go ported? The sub or subs would be placed in the trunk of a Toyota Camry. I have one 4 channel amp running everything... a Rockford Power T600-4 amp. Two channels (100 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms) are currently running a set of Focal 165 VB components up front and two channels are bridged (300 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms ) to a single 4 ohm 10" JL Audio W0v2 sub in a slot ported box. I borrowed the JL because my Focal sub bit the dust for the second time and I am moving on to another brand of sub. I know this particular JL is "cheap" but I am actually quite happy with it. It's louder than the Focal, plays deeper, and hasn't blown up. Sound quality wise they were about the same. I am not sure if I should go with one 12" sub or two. Maybe my amp doesn't have enough power to do two subs adequately? I will continue this post below...
