CADENCE DAYTONA DCW-15RVC 15"3000w SUBWOOFER+RECONE KIT - eBay (item 390289896487 end time Mar-18-11 13:33:24 PDT)

these guys are amazing and are loud as **** and sound great

they are a 60 pound sub

I would rather go with a brand like mb quart than audiopipe, I had some mb quart separates in my last setup that took 150rms each and they never let me down.

So for the dc subs 2x lvl4 12's would take 2000rms but my stock alternator is only 120amp so that means max it could ever put out would be 1440watts right? Plus it has to run the car too.

I'm not upgrading the alt on this project so you guys think that 2x DC Lvl 3 12's(600rms ea) on a mb quart ONX1.1500D (1500rmsx1) would be safe?

battery 2 man, its going to pull from ur battery 2, thats why i say put that extra battery in the back for reserve and it dosetn really work like that, your amp only puts out 1500rms for seconds at a time rms=root mean squared which is the average of peaks. your amp only puts out 1500rms at sudden high notes of peaks for a second etc

OK that makes sense, I'll try not to play too many sine sweeps and test tones till I get a battery, heh.

Tonight I am going to order a MB Quart ONX1.1500D and 2 dc audio lvl 3's.

To wire those to a 1 ohm load what would be better the d2 or d4? i'm guessing that d4=4ohm impedance per coil, so that's the one I would need but It doesn't really say what d4 means on their site.

the DC level 3's are a very efficient/loud/great sub. especially for the price, you couldn't even get two brand new type r's for the same price you can get level 3's shipped. a 1500 watt mono would be amazing for the level 3s. go with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yea I got some 0 gauge here left over from another install, just gotta get some ends for it. On those dc lvl3's, d4 = dual 4 ohm coils right?

I'm going to be getting two DC3 15s on the same amp, small world.

what are you doing for a box?

I don't know what my box design will be yet but I have a good shop with table/radial saws/jointer/router etc. I was thinking all MDF, braced, slot ported front facing and I will have the pass rear seat folded down most of the time and the ski port open. Might mount them magnet out too because it looks cool.

Honestly I don't think it would be hard for them to make it where you use android auto AND your own music source. They made it able to do so...

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...
