Help me pick some 6x9s!

I am currently looking to replace my stock 6x9s in my 2017 Jeep Renegade with non-beats 6 speaker system. I would like to keep stock head unit and wiring. I am trying to avoid external crossovers, so if I use a component set I would like to have an inline crossover as the front mid bass and tweeter are wired in parallel from the factory simplifying my install. That led me to few options being JL C1, Focal Integration, or go with a 2 way coax and add separate tweeters in the dash later if need be.

I am not looking for crazy outcomes, I just want more clarity and detail with similar low frequency response to the stock speakers. I may at some point add a small powered sub, and/or a micro 4 channel but am not sure when so them being usable off of factory power is important.

I have listened to some Kenwood excelon KFC-X694 coax speakers and they sounded pretty good to me, reminded me of the old Pioneer D series before they went to crap. I like the large tweet and the 3 ohm impedance, but I am worried I won't get the same low end I get with the stock speakers. The guy at the shop I listened to them at didn't know how to work the eq on the HU so I was stuck with a flat curve in a large room.... Has anyone had any experience with them running off of a stock or low power HU?

At a different shop with a more educated sales tech and a much better demo setup I listened to some JL C1s and they sounded good to me as well. I could only hear the 6.5 comps as they would have to special order the 6x9 comp set. They seem made to run off of low power and had pretty good overall sound with a lot of good detail. They seem expensive for an entry level set, and I'm okay with that so long as they are the best option for me. I worry that half of the reason they sounded so good was the better setup of the shop. Anyone run these and have any feedback, are they worth what they charge?

The Kenwoods are $130 a pair locally and the C1 6x9s are $150 a pair. The $20 price difference means little to me I just need the best speaker for my application. Reviews for each are limited as they both appear to be new for 2018...

If I decide to have them installed professionally the price is within 20 bucks at each shop as well, though again the one selling the JL gave me a more experienced no corners cut vibe (custom cut tweeter plates for the dash replacements ). I am getting old and lazy and the $40 - $60 to not spend a few hours on all of it seems reasonable today who knows what ill think about it tomorrow... Regardless they will be installed with FAST rings and 2sqare feet of Dynamat extreme on each of the outer door skins since the inner is plastic and actually pretty acoustically sound. Just looking to stop the tinny sound when I touch the door.

Your opinions and experience would be greatly appreciated! Sorry about the book above, just been pondering for a month on this.
