Help me pick out remaining components for systems

Hey guys, i have a set of Infinity 752.7I speakers thus far.

I'm looking at adding an amp to power the 752's and a single sub,Price for sub i'd

like to spend

Price for amp i'd like to spend

I was kind of looking towards the Infinity 12.1 for the sub, and I was looking at the 7541a for the amp. But for the components it seems to be really overpowered (they are 75 watt rms, amp does 138 watts RMS both @ 2 ohm) and for the sub it almost seems underpowered (sub handles 350 watts RMS, amp puts out 278 watts RMS bridged, all this at 4 ohms)

Reasons i had picked out that sub is it is going in the back of a jeep (so very little space) and i like SQ a lot more than SPL. So this sub sounded like it fit the bill.

I'm not really set on the sub or the amp, just throwing this out there for someone with more knowledge to check out. My musical tastes are Rock/Hard Rock/A little bit of metal. There wont be any hip-hop/rap played on it.

sorry man, never heard of the brand, and a quick search on ebay looks like you can get one from them "new" for cheaper than that. AND it doesn't match what i'm looking for, somethign to run my 6.5s and my sub

that power rating you listed is at 2ohms. Your components are 4ohm comps.. the amp will produce less power at 4 ohms.
You'll be fine.
well if he has the new series kappas which it seems he does, they are all 2 ohms now.

(i didnt see the 752.7I but i do see the 652.7I which is rated at 75 wrms at 2 ohms)

For a subwoofer I recommend an Image Dynamics IDQ in a sealed enclosure. Inifinity subs aren't that great. For the amplifiers I recommend getting a seperate amplifier for the speakers and the subwoofer. But that will cost more so it's up to your budget.

If you go with one amplifier though, you can get a 4 channel and bridge two channels for mono output for the amplifier, and use the other two channels for running the front speakers. You have to consider that a lot 4 channel amplifiers for under $200 will not run at 2 ohms bridged so you will have to run the subwoofer at 4 ohms, and output will be considerably less. You can look for good deals on amps on the classifieds section of the forum. A cheap combo is something like:

Kenwood KAC-6202 and Kenwood KAC-8151D ~ $300 shipped

Infinity subs sound great... especially for the money (and with the warranty you get when you buy them authorized). He will be just fine with the setup he originally planned on. If you set your HPF (high pass filter) correctly on your 7541 those 652.7i's you will have no problems. That amp also has plenty of power bridged to run a single perfect 12 at moderately loud volumes. If you want to stick with infinity, more power too you. You should be pleased with the sound.

Like i said, i wasn't set on infininty's. I just read on here they were fairly good to decents subs at SQ, they were within my budget, and they will be able to fit in my jeep fairly easy.

Is there a particular reason you would run 2 amps instead of 1 in my situation? I was planning on getting the SVC 4 ohm version of the sub seeing as how it's not 2 ohm stable bridged. I was more concerned with running into alternator/battery problems, with 2 amps (just bought this vehicle used, not sure on how long alternator has been in it, but battery looks to be about 2 years old or so)

-edit-

If i decided on a 2 amp setup. How would one of these be, as far as powering the sub goes.

It seems that even quite a few of these amps will do 2ohms, so i'm wondering if i'd be better off going ahead with 2 amp setup.

Right now i have the 6.5's running off my headunit (they run fine, no clipping or anything)

So i was thinking that wont be a good thing to let them keep running off the HU @ 2ohm for long.

Memphis is fu** awesome.

Well let's just assume i knew who memphis was. It still doesn't have enough channels do a sub as well as my 6.5's. So this doens't help my situation any. All he's trying to do is make some new guy buy his trash he doesn't want. At least offer an amp that would fit the bill for what i'm asking for.
