i like the vizio when i looked at it, but the phillips just looked better(the case and such)

but i think 26" is small, i would do atleat 32probably

this TV is going to be about 2 feet from me on a desk next to my computer...and its for a bedroom..and im in college..

well im home for summer...i make $200 a night barbacking...and thats only 2 nights a week...holiday weekends are more...4th of july is 6 nights in a row for me @ $250 a night...so you get the idea...oh and dont forget the AVN7000 thats going in the car in the next week...haha and yeah this is going in an apartment

Oh yea what the hell is barbacking? Its sounds pretty close to barebacking and as much I enjoy it, I dont get paid for it.

no...i sold my old *** blazer for 5k...used that as a down payment....and i lease my jeep with a monthly payment of $99....and barbacking is basically you do everything that youd think a bartender should do except for pour drinks, its in a nightclub, you setup, ice, get beer and liquor

I bought a 50 inch panasonic plasma at sams for 850 and a 46 inch vizio lcd at sams for 600. They normally have great open box items.

I just got a 32" Sharp from Costco with their $150 coupon. That expired 2 weeks ago. But if you are willing to spend about $800 or so, I'd recommend getting it. I don't really have any complaints right now. It has 2 hdmi, 2 component I believe, more than enough. I have it connected to my computer via dvi -> hdmi, and besides the overscanning issues I'm getting with my video card, everything looks great. HD looks great too. I had my mind set on the Vizio, but this popped up and was only $50 more.

yeah well forget the 32" comment...cause i saw that Vizio has a 48" LCD i think for $999 after coupon...so what do you guys think...best LCD for 1k or under

Go with an open box model like someone said earlier. I got a 32" Sharp Aquos Lcd for 590.00 and I love it. I got it from circuit city as a floor model and it was the last one they had and weren't gonna get anymore in.
