help me pick a 42" lcd

parents just bought a 46 Sharp Aquos LCD. I personally have not seen it yet, but my father said the picture is out of this world. He got blue ray and he says it almost like watching movies for the 1st time over again. i did some research for him and the Sharp Aquos LCD had fantastic reviews and user comments.

I hope that helps?

ya im happy with the vizio i got, and ive heard those sharp's are great tv's, but i wasnt looking to spend that much money

what i wanted was a 42" samsung lcd 1080p, but that is $$$ lol

My bedroom tv is the Westinghouse LTV 37" LCD and couldn't be happier with it. I paid almost 900 for it, but they are going a lot cheaper now a days for that size or they were. Is a 1080i TV, but looks as good as my 1080p TV even with the blu ray on my Sony xbr5, which is the only way to get the P out of it anyway. I have a hard time telling betweein 1080i and 1080p, but maybe it is just me. I have had the Westinghouse for over a year and not 1 problem with it. Does have a cheap remote though.

My aunt has the 47" Vizio and her HD channels are a lot more blurry for some reason, but that could be a bad box, and her regular digital channels don't look so good. I will stick with the Westinghouse for el cheapo tvs that shine.
