Help me find a 12" subwoofer.

Actually Nick at stereo integrity just told me I should go with a 1.5ft3 box with the SQL. I don't like that small of a box. What do you guys think? What are some other 12" options?

Honestly would the SI SQL 12" perform well in a 1.5ft3 box? Thats what Nick at SI told me to do. Will it get loud at 1.5ft3?

SQL is a great sub. They like more averaged size ported boxes so they are good if space is a huge concern. Similar alternates are going to be something along the lines of an adire audio brahma or IDmax.

Does the IDmax have to be tuned at 35hz? How would a 2.25cuft box tuned at 33hz sound with 1200 watt RMS? I won't push the amp into clipping. Here is the amp I will be using:

Yes I don't like a 12" sub in a 1.5ft^3 box. I will probably go with the Brahma. Can the IDmax even handle 1000 watts? If so what would be louder between the Brahma and the IDmax

This would mean having to wait for about 2 month for the sub but still more than worth it
However SSA has the dual 2 ohm in stock

Needs a bit of a bigger box but if you want it loud for under $400
They are about half the price of my subs and can keep up with if not surpass them under the right circumstances

He won't see 1200 watts out of that amplifier by the time you factor in box rise and everything else. I have a pair of Xv3's getting a SIA 3.5K soon. I would go with a 1.5K or 2K on the Brahma those can handle a lot of power.
