if the factory amp is still in play popping the speaker wires will do nothing. "changing the antenna wire" could have something to do with the factory amp not turning on. what did you do there exactly to change the wire. Look under the rear seat to see if there is a factory amp. What year vehicle are we talking about. are you sure that the factory speakers where good?
