Yes those neo magnets are small and that is why the depth is shallow , but dont let them fool u they have a lot of midbass. I mean both of these kick very good and the tweets are heavenly.

Yea Im looking at shallow speakers too and these have been the only ones I like so far. Still want to know more bout massives sk line but they don't have dealers near me and nobody runs them here. I'd also look into the new type r comps they are really nice and seem to be shallow. Don't remember exact number think it's 2.7 inches

I've used the Massive Audio SK6 coaxials. I haven't tried the SX6 components. Considering the price and the shallow depth I was really happy with how they sounded. The midrange was balanced and quite audible, but these are not speakers that will move much air. The treble was excellent even at high volume, never fatiguing.

A great bang for the buck slim mount set is the Orion HCCA series. The best is probably Critical Mass but they are pricey.
