Hey everyone just wondering which you think would be a better setup for some good SQ/SQL in my Tahoe.

- 4 RE re 8"s ported.

or

- 2 RE re 12"s sealed

Thats what I would do. It all depends on preference too tho. Do u want really low and deep bass that vibrates ur ballz or do u want some mid/high bass to kick u in the chest? That is box dependent. Nothing to do with subwoofer diameter.

Personally I'd go with 2 12's sealed. One is already on the way, I'll let ya know how it sounds when it gets here.

Then you'll want a low tuned ported box...drivers don't really matter too much between the two because they're the same thing and the cone area is not THAT much different between the two sets you're contemplating.

yea i forgot to mention that too. The box is really what changes the sound. Then its up to the sub to kick out the bass the box is tuned to or whatever.
