I am thinking about building a vented box, but I am also considering sealed. Main things I am looking for are accuracy and sound quality. This is for my room, not my trunk. I am willing to paypal $5-10 if someone can give me a really nice plan. Should I go vented or sealed? I have already bought these parts so that is what I will be using. If I go vented, I would either go slot port or flared pvc.

Prefered size range is 2 cubic feet to 4 cubic feet, possibly larger if I like the design.

Material is birch plywood, not mdf. I don't like cutting mdf. I will reinforce of course.

Will a slot port give me the accuracy I need for home audio?

I appreciate prompt reply. Music mostly (classic rock, some rap, metal) and a mixture of movies as well. Id like a tight, accurate, hard hitting response. You could bring a person in and they could say " **** that sounds good"

if it helps, I am running what could be called a stereo setup I guess. Two rear 2-way KLH Model 17's, two front technic sb-l71 3 way's in front and a sub(this one after its built //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ). The fronts and rears are bridged off two channels on my behringer ep1500 dj amplifier, 450 watts per channel at 4 ohm.

cant find any builds for this particular sub.

here is my wip, am I on the right track atleast?

I would also like to add that for aesthetics i am thinking having the driver top, then the slot port below, front firing.
Negative. If you're going for aesthetics, I say you have a down-firing sub, and have the space in between the legs covered in grill cloth.

That would look the best.

It would just look like a piece of furniture. As for the port, however, you can have port down, or aeroport facing anywhere, and paint the box a nice black.

i dont want a downfiring sub, want driver to fire front i have wood floors and i run full sized vintage speakers so it would match my aesthetic lol

edit: forgot to mention, amp has bass boost 6db at 30 hz
