Look into the xs xp3000 its supposedly pretty **** close to the d 3100 but a little cheaper.

Okay I think I'll pick up the D3100 just to be safe, what will I need to run the D3100 with the yellowtop safely? I'll most likely be running the BRZ1700 until I save up enough money for a 2k+ amp. I know you said get the alt first then the battery... but I don't think I'm going to be running anything more than 2,000 watts until I save up alot more money. Such a hard decision to make, so you guys think I will be good running a 2,000 watt amp on two SA12's with a 110 amp alternator and a D3100 in the back?

If going go do that I highly recommend a xs charger for the batt and to charge the battery once a week make sure to charge the batts seperatelg so they are charged properly. I think you will be buying an Alt shortly though it vets aggrivating doing the charging all the time.

With the mechman Alt you will still have to charge then to keep them up properly but not near as often.

Oh I see, so I use the D3100 specifically for the Sub amp? and since it has a 237 minute reserve capacity, I'll only have to charge it weekly? I won't see bad voltage drop with the battery hooked up seperately to the sub amp?

EDIT: Didn't realize the XS charger was 350$ any other alternatives?

Well you should see next to none but depends how much you play your system you have to monitor and know when the battery has dripped off some and needs a charge. Over all making the right moves sometimes it just takes a little bit to get everything in place.

Can I just use a normal 12V car battery charger on the D3100 and be good to go? Really can't afford to spend 350$ on a XS brand charger.

Any AGM charger should work.

Should have just gotten a Deka and saved your $$$ on the overpriced xs stuff.

I use a Shumacher charger and it works fine on the xs batts I've had to charge with it.

Those subs, + the right amp, in the right box, would be sick. Hope you kept them...

Keep the right box, still looking for the right amp, and those subs are sooo easy to come by if I decide to get them again.

I didn't like the lethal injection I messed with from a customer but it's a personal preference the ab xfl's are a ******* sub though get a nice solid 3k amp and let it rip.

Will the D3100 damage my stock alternator? and won't I need an isolator if im hooking it up to the yellowtop?
