Help me build a box?

Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone on here can help me build a box for 2- 12" Speakers by MA AUDIO. Model# MA1250W 12" SUBWOOFER .

The specs are:

Power handling: 250 watts RMS/500 watts peak *Impedance: 4 ohms *Magnet weight: 50 oz. *FS: 29.50 Hz *SPL: 88.36 dB 1W/1m *Vas: 3.53 cu. ft. Qts: 0.47 Xmax: 5mm *Dimensions: Overall Diameter: 12.5" Cutout Diameter: 10.9" Mounting Depth: 5.3" .

The amp I will be running is a Audiobahn 2-Channel 100-Watt Amplifier, Model# A2002T. Which I will be bridgeing also.

The vehicle its all going into is a 1996 Ford Explorer in the back cargo area.

I hope anyone can help me with some specs on a box, perferd w/ some pictures also.

Don't get me wrong , back in my high school days I used to build boxes, but its been a very long time and I forgot to know how to calculate specs and all.

I was told to go ported on a box so what-ever is better please go ahead and shoot the specs on here or just e-mail/pm me.? Thanks a bunch all

Those subs should be very happy in about 2-2.5 cubic feet each ported at about 30-36hz for daily use. I'd also recommend about 45-60 square inches of port area. How much do ya charge for a plan/spec sheet?

When you also mention HZ's I get lost. But the type of music I listen to is a little bit of everything from NickleBack, to some hip hop and rap. Just a various of good cool music. ALso play a lot og XM radio. once i get the confirmation of payment, i'll have your plans within 24 hrs. MAKE SURE YOU FILL OUT THE QUOTE REQUEST FORM WITH AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE! You'll probably have to go out to the trunk of your car and take some measurements for me that way we know this box will fit in there.

I decided NOT to go with the MA Audio woofers.

Instead I went with the same makers of my amp. Plus they are DVC 12"s.

They are the Audiobahn 12" 400-Watt Subwoofer model# are: AW1251T

I am sure this will change some on your plans, but they are the speakes I for sure did order today.

I will get the area size of my explorer dimms and fill out the form again.

Ok, did some measuring in my cargo area.

The size of space I am willing to give up in the back of the suv (maxium) is LxWxH are: 29" x 39.5 x 13.5".

Now if I run those 2 12" Audiobauhn woofers (12'"s) and that amp I run bridged. What kind of bd's you think I will be hitting about?

I am just wonfering if I will be in the 140's or so. Thanks for everything. I will Paypal you in Tuesday once I put money in my account.

I need to decide. I have a hard time choosing which to go with. Here are the speakers. Let me know which you all think I should get out of:

It would also help us to know what you are looking for (SQ?) (SPL?) From what ive heard audiobahn blows when it comes to SQ. Also what kind of price range are you looking to spend on the subs.

Hey I drew these up for two 12's It is 4.187cf^3 and it's tuned to 30hz. Anyone see anything wrong with these??

Thanks for that box design. Looks like a awsome box.

I today placed a order for the (2) 10" e10Kx.44 by Elemental Designs. The rep at ED names Jonthan was very helpful on some configures to be in my Explorer and gave me some plans for free for these speakers in my Explorer. So I went on a head and got them. I paid about $40.00 more then I would of paid for the 12" Audiobahns. But the Ed warrenty seems to rock (3 years).

I just hope that I made a great decision. Oh I think I need both SQ and SPL so about 50/50 since they will be in a SUv.

Right now I am playing one of them Bazakaas 10" Triangle woofers and there manufacture box and it bumps but just to darn boomy at any level. When cranked up to much they baffle out hard. Just plain awful .
