The 2 thick ones are connected to the amp terminals. I then took the smaller gold ones and soldered those to the ends of the 2 thick ones, so now i have 4 total. One one coil there are 2 wires going into each terminal on the sub, and on the other end, i jumped the 2 gold ones to the other 2 terminals.
So the gold wires are just connecting the + to the + and the _ to the _ on the sub right??? Then the thick wire goes to the terminal on the box. That would be correct.

yeah. So if it is wired at 1 ohms, why isn't it loud at all?

The thicker wirer is the main the two other pair is actually just one you cant see the bottom of the loop in the picture.the size of the speaker wires would not cause his problem, nor the 8gauge power wires (although I would suggest 4 gauge as well)

can you turn the box on its side so the subwoofer loads against the corner of the trunk pocket?, I really think that it will benefit the sound.

I don't think the box will fit, the trunk latch behind it is what is messing up the space constraints.

Now we go back to the gain. Set it with a DMM. Once that is tackled we can go from there. You have to eliminate each problem one at a time next is the setting the gain with a DMM. Let us know when you complete this.

Ok, this will be done tommorow, so ill let you guys know after that how it sounds. I was hoping someone could point out a wiring mistake or something though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Here's the thing though, if i lower the gain more than i have it now, you can barely hear the sub. But when i put the gain at the level i have it righ tnow where you can actually hear the sub, the sub moves way too much, and looks like its getting pushed too hard.

I really don't think you have made any mistakes with your wires.

Try wiring the sub to just one side of the amp and see it that changes anything.

If you hav a 9volt battery lying around. Take the speaker leads off of the amp and put them on the 9v and see which way it pops. The woofer cone should pop out.

What kind of car is this in too?

Thats a strong sign of cancellation, thats why I would like you to reposition the sub to see if the acoustics change at all.

Just flip it so the sub faces the to the side instead of the top. Can you try and see if it fit for me?.

what do you know, it does fit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The sub is like an inch away from the plastic t-top holders though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I don't want the cone to get damaged or anything.
