Here's the thing though, if i lower the gain more than i have it now, you can barely hear the sub. But when i put the gain at the level i have it righ tnow where you can actually hear the sub, the sub moves way too much, and looks like its getting pushed too hard.

Does not matter. As long as you follow the gain setting guide and do everything correct, It should fix it.

If not then we can start to rule in equipment failure.

oh wow that should be plenty loud even with it at half gain. My Rl-p gets loud in my camry and it only has 500 watts.
Is you HU tuned correctly?

I dunno what else to tune in the HU? The HU crossover LP is off, the Amp LPF is set to about 60, the sub level is on 11, the bass is on +2, i dunno what else to tune? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Just repositioned the sub, helped a tiny bit, but not much. Should i even bother buying the polyfill, or would it not be worth it? Its kind of a pain taking the sub out and rescrewing it in so many times.

Honestly though, how loud should my sub be sounding with this amount of power? its hard for me to tell if its actually sounding normal or not now because all i have to compare it to is my old 250 watt Perfect. It sounds a little louder w/ more SPL than that sub did, but not much. Should this sub be sounding insanely loud with 1200 watts?

Yes it should have much more output.

What kind of HU do you have?

It should be quite loud especailly in a *****.

Try hooking the sub up to one side of the amp instead of bridging it.

also try the 9volt battery if you have one.

I have a 12.4v drfill batery, not a 9 volt though. HU is an Alpine CDA 7893. What do you mean hook the sub up to one side? The amp is bridged internally, i only need to hook up 2 out of the 4 terminals to run the sub at 1 ohm.

I noticed my battery meter in car is dipping very very low when the bass hits, could my car's eletrical system not be able to supply enough power or something?

This is bridged. Just take the wire sand hook them up next to the remote and dont orry about the right 2 terminals for now.

I just want to know if the output changes at all. more specifically if it gets louder

For comparison for you guys, my friend has 2 JL Audio W3's (the older ones) in a sealed box being ran off of a 500/2 Crunch Amplifiier, and my sub is about as loud as his two. Shouldn't mine be much much louder than his?

The amp is already internally bridged, it makes no difference which terminals i hook it up too. And i had them next to eachother at first, then moved them to the above position, and no change was noticed.

Do you own a volt meter? if so poke around and let us know what kind of numbers you are getting.
Did you try flipping the RCA's?

What do you mean by flipping them? Switching the two RCAs on the amp around, or switching the Nine.2 RCA's with the Nine.1 RCA's?

Yeah did you flip the ones on the 9.1 around?
Also you could hook the 9.2 RCA's up and fade all the way to the front see if that does much for the bass.

Just trying things now

what about the possibility of my eletrical system not providing enough power for the amp?

IMPORTANT - Another thing i noticed, there are ZERO power cords connected to my car battery, the 100 amp fuse and 4 guage power wire for the Nine.2 is wired into my fuse box, but there is absolutely no power wire attacehd to my car battery. i don't even know how the hell the plaec hooked it up. Could that be something thats causing the lack of power?
