Just mess around with stuff see what you can get to happen. Turn your HU up to where you want your volume level to be then tune your amp from there, maybe trying turning the Lpf up a bit. I got mine around 70-80, but it shouldnt make that much of a difference.

what about the possibility of my eletrical system not providing enough power for the amp?

IMPORTANT - Another thing i noticed, there are ZERO power cords connected to my car battery, the 100 amp fuse and 4 guage power wire for the Nine.2 is wired into my fuse box, but there is absolutely no power wire attacehd to my car battery. i don't even know how the hell the plaec hooked it up. Could that be something thats causing the lack of power?
Possibly, this is where you need a volt meter.

What about no power wire being attached to my car battery? Could that be doing anything weird? I think they hooked up the main power by tapping into the fusebox or something.

For comparison for you guys, my friend has 2 JL Audio W3's (the older ones) in a sealed box being ran off of a 500/2 Crunch Amplifiier, and my sub is about as loud as his two. Shouldn't mine be much much louder than his?

Do not know if you sub is going be drastically louder than the 2 subs if they are indeed getting 500 watts. My Rl-p ported is close to the out put of my two e12ks sealed on the same power. If you want loud just port it.

Have any of you guys ever seen or heard of a system where the power wire is not directly connected to the car battery terminal?

I wouldnt be surprised if that was your problem.
Im gonna see if my friend can rewire that for me then. Should i tell him to rewire it into the car battery than? Or is there other stuff he is gonna have to do as well?

Run it through the firewall, and put a fuse holder on it......

I would seriously call the shop that did that shit.

Dude for the 10th time pull out a multimeter and measure your voltage to the amp from rca and power wire. As well as measuring how your sub is hooked up. Please tell me by page 15 this has already been done though. For some reason I dont think it has //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Edit after hearing the power isn't even ran to a battery... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif , you really need to pull out the DMM. It takes a whole 2 minutes.

I think that's what he was talking about above, custel. Instead of running the power cable for his Nine.1 to the battery (like they most certainly should have) they've got it spliced into one of the circuits in the fuse box.

ls1pimp - I'd be willing to wager this is the main source of your troubles. There's no way in the world any of the pre-existing circuits in the fuse box can supply enough amperage for your Nine.1 to create anywhere near rated output.
