HELP installing KDC-x979 to bose factory amps

im talking about the harness you bought that plugs in to your factory harness.

that is a light blue color labeled power ant.

Nope, no mute is nessasary. Hook up the blue/white wire from the deck to the blue and blue/white wires comming from the factory harness adapter that you bought.

it doesnt fit...bought that one before I got the 70-7551!!!

ok so im going to have 2 wires from the x979 connected to the power ant. wire off the 70-7551...

btw, the solid blue wire off the x979 is labeled motor antenna control wire.

no. stop.

start over. on that 70-7551 you bought, there is one plug with a purple and green rca. these plug in to your rear outputs on your deck, there Also should be Two wires. one for power antenn. and one should be the factory amp turn on.

then the other plug you have there is a black and white rcas, these plug in to your front outputs on your deck. on that same one, there are the normal red/yellow/ etc.

are there any other colors on that too?

tape the speaker leads up coming from teh deck.

the two wire are labeled amp ground and amp turn on. I have the amp turn on connected to the REM from my 801d...is this wrong?

ok. we have sound...now wat do I hook the rem from my 801d to?

you hook it into the remote wire that you got sound from

OK. does anyone know if the 801d has a light to indicate its on? A voltemeter I used says it was putting out power.
