i have a 1989 Lincoln town car, i have 2 12W3's on a slash 1000/1, its alot of metal, foam, and leather for the bass to travel all the way up to the front seats, im thinking of upgrading to 2 12W6's (pawn shop $249) or just this morning a offer was made to me of 2 crossfire BMF 15's for $225 , im lookig for two subs to be pushed with my slash to POUND what subs would you all recommend, i want to stay in this price range, no more than $250

An option to consider - an IB install. One good 10" or 12" in the rear deck could give you what you want. My 85 Oldsmobile Delta-88 is also heavily insulated from the trunk like your Town Car. A pair of 8's in the rear deck did the trick for me.

Im going to make a ported box for my current subs, not a really good at determining hertz but i'll use a box calculator im assuming?? I dont want to spend much $$ i'll get started on a box on friday, any of you guys recommend a good box calculator??

Does that Lincoln have a sealed trunk? I would check that also before dumping more money into the project. In my BMW and Mercedes they seal the trunk to keep road noise out of the cabin in the vehicle. Lincoln is considered luxury and may have sealed the trunk. I would let down the middle console in the rear of car and see if it's completely sealed off. If so you may need to open it up to allow sound to come into the cabin of the vehicle better. Worth a try, but bigger subs is always a good thought.

i took off the insulation between the back seat and the sheet metal separating the trunk from the cabin, it has like holes i guess in the sheet metal you can see into the trunk now, dam if only i did this alot earlier, i also took off the hard panel that runs along the top of the rear deck i guess, same thing the sheet metal has alot of large fabricated holes, this sounds SO MUCH BETTER, wouldn't mind those extra bmf's and another slash 1000/1 in the trunk haha
