I have narrowed it down to a few 6.5" components and i would like everyone's opinions and whats good or bad about them. Trying to stay under $150 now. I dont really care about the bass part of the midbass b/c i have a reg cab truck and my DD's freakin pound my ribs out:naughty:. What would be the best for rap and rock? These will be ran more than likely off of the PG 4.0:2 which is 150 x 2 @ 4ohms.

PG X6.5 (like $100 bucks)

Alipine Type R (around $130)

Pioneer Rev's (around $145)

Hi there,

Of the 3 choices you have narrowed down to, I would go with the Alpine type R. I run Alpine speakers although not those componants, and I am very happy with mine. Those type R's have had some really good reviews on crutchfield.com ect... Just my 2 cents worth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeh I was thinkin of probably going with them but with how cheap the PG X6.5's are i was also thinkin about those too. I've heard many great things about these too but i wonder which one's better between those 2? HELP.......

Well i've read good things about the Rev's but not enough for me to think that their that much better than the R's. This is kinda pissin me off now haha. I cant decide between these 3.

Get the revs, or my CDT's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Seriously, the revs are MUCH clearer IMO.Hard to describe the sound of the type R's, but it sounds like someone is holding a pillow in front of the mid and tweet.Muddy and muffled if you will. The revs are clean and "crisp" if you will.

Ahhh haha alright.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif I went and listend to the Type R's, S's, and X's today and i thought the R's were kinda muffled sounding. I mean i dont really need to much midbass i just want it to be clean and loud. Also, its says 60 RMS for the Rev's....if i get the PG 4.0:2 then thats 150x2 @ 4ohms. Should i go ahead and get that and just watch the gains or just get the PG 2.5:2 thats like 75x2 @ 4ohms???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Thanks for the opinions or facts guys. Need more!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
