HELP everything about installing subs & hardware!

Ok so i started making my 4.0 cubic foot box for a FI BL 15" with cooling and flat wind option and I dont know what else i have to buy. Gonna use a hifonics bxi 1608d or bxi 2008d at 1 ohm (reccomend one would be good) (either 1600watts or 2000watts) i dont know if i should push the sub that much -2000watts.

I need a wiring kit i guess? i need to know what guage wire and all that... If theres any cheap wiring kits that would be good..... all the ones ive seen are $100+ + +. Or just wires which ever works. I dont know if you need all of the stuff in the kits...

If you know anywhere that sells speaker terminals? or terminal cups?

And anything else that i need...

cjcrook said RCA's and someother stuff but i dont know what its for or what it does.

I need the speaker terminal asap so i can make the hole in the box...

Any estimated price in all?

the 2000... those amps are overrated anyways. My BL takes 1700 all day and i didnt add anything.

Kit should be fine..You'll need a decent set of RCA's of course..and a remote wire.

Just get everything Knu-Concepts.

still need the terminal thing though... id like to get it ordered a week ago... otherwise ill have a finished box sitting around in school with no wire stuff (bad- people fvck with sh!t) and we dont have alot of room either.

will any RCA work? there is a pretty large/varying price range...

If you're doing a sub box then drill a hole for your wire and silicone it afterward. Alot of people do this. Remote wire goes from the blue wire on your H/U to the rem. on your amp and turns the amp on w/ the H/U. You can get RCA's w/ a remote wire attached.

well, im getting it carpeted (carpet might not go around wire well), and idk how big to make the hole. does knukonceptz have a RCA w/ remote wire?

Only drill the hole just big enough for the speaker wire to go into the box. I'm sure they have RCA's w/ a remote attached.

yes KNU has the stuff u need. drill the holes before u carpet and make very small slits in the carpet to run the wire thru...

why didnt u know what the hell u were doing before u bought anything??

and i just like the look of the terminal thing, it looks cleaner (yeah its in the trunk....) but i havent seen any for 1/0 wire...

eh? i only have bought the wood. becuase idk. its easy to put together. i just want the other stuff to make sure it fits. and i want to get done with all this and have my stuff in my car! lol

random question. will this work in my car? i feel like im gonna spend alot of money and nothings going to work. lol. if i just throw in the sub, amp, and wiring kit. do i have to do the big3 and spend more money?

The big 3 will always help. You can wait til you have the $$$ next ck. though.

well u dont know anything about what wiring u need. which means you have no idea how to even run the wires to ur h/u and amp. or wire a sub in parallel. or how to tune the box

but i think u are going sealed.

also u didnt know that power handling increases in a sealed box
