Help...Durango big 3

Hi,I was looking at doing the big 3 on a 99 Dodge Durango. I was looking at the main power wire from the Alt to the battery...but it goes into a plastic box of fuses,and breakers before it goes into the battery.

Can I run an additional wire from the Alt. directly to the battery ,and leave the stock one in place too?The battery has top and side posts if that matters.

yes just add wire direct to the batt and leave the stock

I was hoping to hear that .Did you have the same issue?There is a 140 amp fuse between the Alt.,and battery.I am getting an Ohio Generator Alt soon.Is there a bigger fuse to put in there,or will the bypass take care of that?
