Setup:
Pioneer 6800BS head unit (50x4 RMS)
Pioneer AS 6.5's in front doors
Kenwood 9106D Amp (500w RMS@ 4 Ohms | 2000w Peak @ 4 ohms)
Memphis Audio SRX 12" shallow mount sub 4 ohms (250w RMS | 500w Peak) in a
Prefab box with 0.65 Cuft of airspace for shallow mount

How do I properly configure this when starting from scratch again (Resetting gain and everything)

Here is the normal steps I take when configuring
1). Find max volume without distortion on headunit (50 of 56)
2). Change speaker and sub volumes back 0 (set at 7 on speakers and 5 on sub) Max is 10
3). Turn off bass boost of 3 to 0 (Typically run this from 1 to 3) Max is 4
4). Set EQ to flat (Normally runs at powerful setting)
5). Set loudness to off (Normally runs on hi or mid)
6). Set amp gain to 0
7). Set lpf to 200hz
8). Set isf to 20hz (Sealed enclosure)

If I missed a step or I am doing something wrong please tell me. I want to configure this to have the best sound I can get.

Play music and turn up gain until bass stops getting louder.
Turn down LPF until only bass remains
Increase all speakers back to 7 and the sub back to 5
Set EQ to custom 1 or custom 2
-Bring up high ranges slowly (treble)
-Bring up mid ranges slowly (vocal)
-Bring up low ranges slowly (bass)

Is there anything I missed to set this up properly?

you are on the right track. But if you set the gains like that and then turn all those features on, you'll be clipping and blowing your gear. If you set the gains with those features off, leave em off for good.

You simply won't get loud without more power to your doors. You'll distort well before the 'sql' level. You can absolutely get great SQ at that power but loudness won't be there. Jeff is correct not only because you'll be clipping but because you'll be expecting more than 50w in loudness and end up overdriving the speakers.

Loud is perspective, though, so I could be wrong.

There's definitely quite a few that can give a better answer, but IMO, it's (1) 8" sub. It's supposed to be quicky and jabby, not a power...

Honestly I don't think it would be hard for them to make it where you use android auto AND your own music source. They made it able to do so...

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...
