help again, amp wont turn on

Hey. I installed my splw-15 with a friends borrowed pyramid 2400watt amp while I am waiting for mine to come in. Then I tried to install a cheap walmart 300watt mono block amp to power my 2 fosgate 8s. I can't get the amp to turn on, even when taking the wiring off the pyramid and putting it directly on this amp. This is the 3rd one I have tried, and none work. The indicator light shows red and won't change to green. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the light green when no speakers are connected to the amp?

more like bad ground. or short, thats the protect light. Somethings wrong!

It could be that the load on the amp is to much, as in that hes wired up a 1 ohm load to amp that isnt 1 ohm stable.

Hey. I didn't try the no speaker thing, but I will try that. The remote line is right because the pyramid amp would work, but that is the only one so far. I also thought it was the ground, but the pyramid also worked, and that is the same wiring onto this amp. right now I have a 4ga ground to 3/8 bolt, so I def. know that is enough. As for the load, I just hooked up a 10" single 4 ohm vc sub, and that didn't help either. THANKS!
