Hey guys, I have a quick question... First thing I must point out that I am on a very tight budget but I don't just want to shake my mirrors. I want good sound. With that said will this amp: (click link-->) Kenwood KAC-819 work well with this 10inch sub: (click link-->)AVI SL-250 ??

Now I will be running all of this with my factory 240watt Lexus stereo. Is there anything I can do to get the full potiential of this combo (amp & subs) ? I have run the AVI subs before with a Crossfire amp and it worked wonders, just wondering about this amp? thanks for any help you provide me as I could use any help you can give me right now.

well I have the amp and subs now, but I can return the amp but I got it for a really really low price hence I would like to work with what I got. I want to stick with the AVI subs as I really like them.

Does the amp ****? would it work? work well?

haha great, I figured so....looks like its going back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif Is there any decent amps for around $200-$300CDN that you'd required? ooo I'd like the speaker line input feature aswell as I'm using the factory deck.

hey i got is300 too.. got a question.. do you know where you're gonna get the wire (speaker output) from?? are you just gonna get it from the rear speakers or the front? i heard it's better to get it from the front.. you'll get more bass... you're gonna use hi/low converter right???

as for the amp... i have MA Audio amp brand new with 1 year warranty.. $250

jjoven1225.... never heard anything about taking the signal from the the front before.

Jmac... thanks for you help as its been a few years that I got out of the whole car audio thing, I swear I don't remember anything. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ....are those amps you recommend within my price range of $200-$300. Do they have speaker line inputs? Do I need to run a hi/lo converter? what else will I need. aaa I hate when I rush into things like this.

yes i think it has speaker inputs.. but i wouldn't suggest doing that especially if you're using it as sub amp... you use RCA for low frequency purpose.... hi/low converters are cheap.... you can get them for less than $20 bucks in any local car audio shop.. unless you want good names like monster or soundgate.. i have monster hi/lo.. i'm using all monster accesories.... if you buy my amp, i'll give you a high/low converter for free.

as for the front signal... i've heard from many people that taking the wires from the front speakers is better because the factory HU or the amp produce more power and lower frequency to the front speakers because it for the components... that's what i heard and been reading alot... but the guy that's gonna instal;l my stuff said it wouldn't matter because im using an equalizer(that's what it does).. maybe he's right or maybe he's just being lazy....

can you clarify that for me? i don't understand what "front signal" you're talking about..maybe i didn't read the thread clearly;)

hehehe you dumbass!!! im just kidding.. i meant speaker wires from the front speakers...

that what i said in the begining but he mentioned front signal, since it sounds better, i played along..

ya after looking into it I don't think you can tap into the "front channels" to supply the signal for the sub as it is high passed in the stock amp. You need another LLC to tap off the rear 6x9 channels for the sub input.
