I have a 15' MA Audio 800W subwoofer, and a 250W Kenwood KAC-529S 2 way bridge amplifier, and i am using a wall converter, to convert the 120v coming from the wall into a 12vDC current, like a car battery, i throw the RCA cables on, plug it into my Ipod, then hook the subwoofer up to the bridge output, then put the positive from the wall convertor on to the "batt" part, then the negative on the ground part, and no sound, so right now i have the sub hooked up to my computer with my speakers so i have limited bass, what im thinking is that the amplifier has to have ignition in order to run, so im thinking i might take that wall convertor to the p-remote, and the battery input, and have 2 grounding wires comin out of the 2 grounding outputs.. So in simpler words, i want my sub to pound with my Ipod, and does anyone know if i hook my amp up to my car, can i plus the RCA into my Ipod?

lol thanks

I kind of get that... but what is your "wall converter", are you talking about a 12v wall wart thing, like what powers a router, or other computer equipment?

and why not spent a couple bucks and get a mono home amplifier...? I'm sure you can get one real cheap somewhere

yea well isnt a car battery outpur 12v , so i just found a POS one that has the right voltage, so i figured it would work.. but how cheap would that mono home amp be

Wait, so are you using a power supply capable of supplying a large current (say 90 amps) or are you using like a 12v cell phone charger? If you are using the power supply, then yes you can hook the amp up just like in your car. If you are using a cell phone charger (or any low-power converter for that matter) then you really should stop what you are doing, cause it won't work and could easily cause a fire.

I have mine hooked to a power converter in my room and mine works fine just make sure you hook it like you would in a car and wire your constant and power wire together the red and yellow to the positive on the converter and the ground to the ground on the converter and it should work fine just make sure you dont push your converter to hard they will burn up easy
