HDTV's Plasma vs DLP.. opinions

dont know if you got ur TV yet but i highly recommend the panasonic plasma HDTVs.. i read rave reviews about them. they are BEAUTIFUL quality especially for the price and beat out just about the others in its price range. we got the 50" for 3499.. a little higher than ur budget but i highly recommend it..
edit: actually it's on sale right now over at amazon.. this is the exact model we have in our living room..

its not 55+ inches but man is it CLEAR.. especially HD channels of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
plasma is nice but does not have 1080P res nor the lifespan of a dlp or RP LCD

i have a panasonic 42" widescreen and play games on it and watch espn for hours at a time and no burn in at all, its a great tv and i think the 42" is down to 1999 now

Plasma has mad burn inI played GTA on my friends pioneer for like an hour and i could totally see the health burned into the screen.
either the pioneer sucks as a plasma or ur friends got the settings all twacked out. iknow the panasonic i have got rave reviews and the contrast and color is beautiful so i can see why it got rave reviews.

heres some crappy pix of mine just of the hd cable and burnout 360 game

i got 5.1 but since my hd-dvd a1 player has analog outputs and decodes dolby digital plus and truhd i get that and boy does it sound better then regular dts. at first i never noticed till my player recently broke on monday and ive been watching dvds. thank god for best buy hooking it up today and getting my player back
i have a 6.1 reciever and 6.1 speaker jbl studio series speakers so they are good enough for your average 22yr old i suppose. i got em' back when i was 18 though after graduation. i love the TV but i have to say I am ordering a ps2 monster cable componet video cable today lol.

ive seen many business display ones that werent tweaked to their optimum potential.. and just because they work at best buy or CC doesnt meant they know how to set up their TVs correctly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif and pioneer isnt a plasma-tv dominating brand...

It was from The Good Guys...

Also, setting up a t.v has nothing to do with burn in....
